Senior Accountant (m/f/d)

Location: Hamburg, Germany

In the course of our growth we are looking for a Senior Accountant / Balance Sheet Accountant (m/f) for our head office in Hamburg as soon as possible.



  • As part of the team, you will be responsible for all general ledger and fixed asset accounting processes of group and operational units
  • You will actively participate in the preparation of monthly financial statements / annual financial statements, including the corresponding reporting
  • You are the contact person for accounting processes within the group, including the independent accounting responsibility of companies
  • You support the team leader Accounting in projects and ad hoc requests
  • They identify process improvements in accounting with the aim of increasing transparency and efficiency.
  • You are responsible for account clarifications and coordinate these with the management
  • As one of the representatives of the departmental management, they are the contact persons for management, consultants, external auditors, internal clients and the international finance team.

Your profile

  • Completed training with focus on accounting, finance
  • Sound professional experience (at least 4 years) in the accounting department of a medium-sized, internationally positioned company
  • Good knowledge of DATEV and MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of HGB accounting
  • Ideally you have experience in the field of wages and salaries
  • A structured and analytical way of working, as well as flexibility and strong commitment with the corresponding ability to work under pressure, characterise you
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills round off your profile, knowledge of French and other foreign languages would be an advantage
