More privacy with ROOMio in the Chemnitz prison

In future, a lot more inmates than before will be able to gain a little bit of privacy when telephoning in the Chemnitz prison. Telio was commissioned to equip a further detention building of the jail with additional ROOMio telephones.

For the Saxony inmates, the technology means a number of new benefits: shorter queues on the corridors, shorter waiting times and more privacy. Generally, less potential for aggression and conflict is to be expected.

In November 2014, Telio equipped the first detention building of the Chemnitz prison with prison cell phones. The new order will increase the number of devices available to inmates in the Saxony prison. They will be installed in addition to the devices in the corridors which were previously available for phoning.
